The Azerbaijan grand prix was held on 27th September at the Baku City Circuit in Baku Azerbaijan. The race started with Russell on pole together with Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri where they finished first, second and third respectively in the qualifications races .
George Russell wins the Azerbaijan grand prix ahead of max Verstappen and thus edging more closer to the leader of the driver standings with only a difference of 66, that is Kimi Antonelli has 302 pints while George Russell has 236. Max Verstappen finishes second with only Russell finishing ahead of him with a tenth of a second. Isaac Hadjar finishes third and returns on pole after 3 weeks absence due to wrist injury.
The Azerbaijan Grand prix had many moments some were tragic but some were excellent. The return of Isaac Hadjar and the comeback that he made to return on pole was exceptional and this is after him being out for 3 weeks due to injury. The leader of the driver Standings. Kimi Antonelli finished 5th on pole after starting at 16th at the start of the race . This position ensures he still earns points that keep his amazing season campaign going on .
Tragic scenes occurred as Lando Norris was involved with one of the drivers of the Alpine machine making him to be out of the race . The McLaren day was not going well as also despite being third on pole Oscar Piastri made a wrong turn in turn 1 thus making him to not capitalize being on pole. Lewis Hamilton finished sixth and still remains third in the driver standings.
The most electrifying part of the race was the pursue for first position between Max Verstappen and George Russell,where George Russell defended his position and held out the skilled aggressive driving of Max Verstappen to clinch the win in the round 15 of the Azerbaijan grand prix.
